The dual-hose architecture pulls return air from outside the room, isolating the hot-side heat exchanger from your living space. The result is a steady drop in temperature without the vacuum effect that drags warm, humid air back through door cracks and window frames. A built-in thermometer samples the room every six seconds and adjusts compressor output in 1 Hz increments to hold your set point within half a degree.

Coolizi's inverter drive modulates the compressor in 1 Hz increments, matching output to demand rather than blasting hard and then idling. Independent lab testing places seasonal energy efficiency at 4.1 CEER — roughly 35% better than the fixed-speed portable category average. Built around an R32 refrigerant core.

The refrigeration loop runs on R32, a next-generation refrigerant with 68% lower global-warming potential than the R410A still common in older portables. A reusable washable pre-filter catches dust and lint before it reaches the evaporator, and an activated-carbon secondary filter absorbs cooking odours, pet dander, and the everyday smell of a lived-in room. At full cooling output, Coolizi registers 48 dB at one metre — quieter than a domestic refrigerator humming in the next room. Drop the unit into Sleep Mode and the compressor slows to 1 100 rpm, the display switches off entirely, and the sound floor settles to 38 dB, roughly the volume of leaves turning outside an open window. A viscoelastic damping cradle isolates the compressor from the chassis, and the louver motor is mounted on a separate floating sub-frame so that the gentle ticking you hear on cheap portables simply isn't there.
